This clarinet looks somewhat like the Artley/Armstrong clarinets. Maybe it was a predecessor. The clarinet has
the same plastic and brushed finish of the Artley line.
However key work is very different, especially the separate posts for the Ab/Eb. Serial #752 Barrel: 66.6mm (too long for me) Bore LH joint top: 14.8mm Bore LH joint at bottom: 14.6mm Looks poly-cylindrical Approximate date of manufacture: late 1950s or early 1960s Intonation results taken when playing loud and not lipping. See how to interpret these results on the Model Comparison Page. For this test, I used a 66mm Vito barrel, pulled .2mm at the barrel and 2mm at the middle.
Intonation summary: Awful. Key work quality: Very sturdy. This clarinet is most appropriate for: No one. Make into table lamp. |
