The Hanson company is in England, and they make clarinets in grenadilla, rose wood, and a student clarinet which is made of hard rubber. I am surprised that their web site doesn't mention if the later is hard rubber or plastic. Their student clarinet even comes with a quality Vandoren mouthpiece. I would assume that these products are continuing the Boosey & Hawkes tradition. I wonder if the instruments are completely manufactured in England, or whether certain parts are manufactured in other countries.
